What Differentiates Me From Other Financial Advisors?

July 23, 2020

You’ll never have a problem finding a financial advisor. Like looking for the right toothpaste, the challenge is deciding what kind of advisor to work with.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably stood in the grocery store thinking to yourself, should I get the toothpaste that promises to whiten my teeth or should I get the one that specializes in enamel protection?

Most of us know our teeth, but choosing the right financial advisor to hire can be challenging. And okay I get it, choosing a financial advisor is probably more important than choosing the right toothpaste, but hopefully you get my point. The choice of what financial advisor to hire isn’t impossible. Many people in the world have done it! It’s important for you to work with someone you feel most comfortable with. Here are three things that set me apart from other financial advisors:

  1. My clients appreciate my caring nature in providing financial advice. This means I’m on the pulse of my clients’ needs, and I really get into their lives. I operate under the presumption that every client I work with is going to want complete accountability. I’m not going to hide things from you. You’re going to know what is being done, how it’s being done, and what it will cost you.
  2. I have an AAMS® designation. This means I have many years of experience. I can identify newly discovered investment opportunities, along with the understanding of how to recognize insurance, tax, retirement, and estate issues for clients. I’m able to analyze investments at a much deeper level, providing true comprehensive planning. The important thing is that you not only have greater confidence in terms of your investments working well for you, but you also have greater confidence that I’m working in your best interest.
  3. I work well with people who are looking for long term decisions and who are willing to delegate the management of their financial affairs in order to pursue their goals. This doesn’t mean you’re giving up control. It means my clients trust me; I offer complete transparency. And because my clients return that transparency, I can provide them with sound investment recommendations that will allow them to pursue their goals. Your investment choices will be governed by not only what you want to accomplish, but also by the risk tolerances you have. And you’ll also know how you are doing relative to the broader markets.
